Probably not much you can do about it unless you open it up and try to diagnose/repair the physical mechanism....
How to reset 2007 Chevy Impala Radio?
My radio works but it doesn't play CDs. I have trouble putting in CDs and when it does catch it just comes up as Err.

You mean a stock store-bought CD or a recorded one with mp3's and stuff?
Because the 2007 stock factory radio will not play those.
It might play ".wmv" recorded CD's, I'm not sure but I know for a fact it will not play anything else.
Not very elaborate, standard CD formats only.
What I did on mine...
Is I purchased a Bluetooth FM transmitter dongle and play my stuff through that, iHeartradio, no more CD's but I could use a thumb drive if I wanted.

My '05 and '06 will play MP3 Format Sound CD's.
