I would like to armed with some sort of information about the price before I start calling mechanics. I'm a woman that was widowed just over 2 years ago and I don't want to be ripped off just because I'm a chick or a "poor little widow".

Thanks in advance, all!

Don't be afraid to call a few auto shops or car dealers and ask. They can give you an estimate. Asks friends where they take their cars and if they are happy with the work done. The belt itself will be around $35 and can be replaced in less than 10 minutes but a dealer would charge a min. shop time which may be 1 hr at 70 bucks or so . Look for a shop other than a dealer in my opinion to get the best price.
