My 1968 Impala 2 dr hardtop, with a 255 HP 327 CI V8, Quadrajet 4 bbl carb, and a 3-on-the-tree transmission, got between 12 and 17 mpg, running on 105 octane regular leaded gasoline, back in 1968 :smile:

Course, I never drove it for fuel economy. Gasoline was less than $0.30 per gallon. The car was dark gray metallic, with a black vinyl bench seat, and cost $2,700 brand new.
