Option f84 (?) or the other one?

Buying the 1-2-3-4 shift solenoid and was asked what option we have?

I was told to look at the VIN, but that hasn't helped so far....

Have you checked the RPO codes? They're located on a sticker on the trunk lid. You can type the codes in here to find out what they are.

4T65E unless it's an SS, then it's the HD. But you have an LS so it's not.

There were a couple different final drive ratios available in the standard 4T65E, the option will tell which it is. You can do it by the SPID label as mentioned, or I think its also stamped on the trans case on the side, but I'd have to double check on that.

Yes it is confirmed by haynes manual. Quote: The transaxle ID number on the 4t65-E model is stamped onto a plate that is riveted to the right rear corner of the transaxle housing.
