I have read about the pass lock, and replacing the ignition, etc. to fix the problem when the car doesn't turn on because the car security is missed up. What I'm really looking for is a way to completely remove the security lock feature of the 2000 chevy impala. Like removing a wire, or fuse, so that there's no security in the car and I can turn on my car without any problems. I know some people might think it's wrong, but really, ITS MY CAR, i can do whatever I want with it. I don't like to be stranded for 15 mins. with the key in the ignition just to reset the thing.
