i have a chevy impala ss 1995.i have a problem my headers are getting to hot on one header on the right side and my mechanic won't release the car to me or just is takin along time to fix and my back is against the wall on this. i'm curious is this something that can be resolved with powder coating the headers?

Mechanic is not releasing the car to you because the header gets too hot??? Doesn't make sense....
If you have paid your bill, mechanic cannot hold vehicle against your will. They have a responsibility to warn you about an unsafe condition, but they cannot hold the vehicle against your will.

What is the history of the header? Who installed? When? Has it been causing any problems?
