They have many options, no core charges, great warranty and customer service. I bought a 240a to accommodate my stereo and I’ve been very happy w it and the service.
I’ve heard of singer alternators and others. Tucson makes them in house, not rebuilt or remanufactured.
My question is if you do swap for a high output alt will you need a pcm module to regulate voltage from dropping as my 2014 impala ltz limited fluctuates anywhere between 12.2v-14.6v so im guessing the system is “smart charging”
No the alternator voltage sensor and the complex charging system do the monitoring. Once I got my ground loop taken care of I’ve had no problems running a 240a. I created the loop. If it’s plug and play it should be fine. Consider larger wire too.
