Also wondering if the K & N cold air intake is worth the money?

Your car has a lot of kr as it is.
Sucking hot air from the engine bay will only decrease your performance.
So put your factory air box back on and rethink your plan

Either open up the inlet behind your headlight on your factory air box more and put a k&n drop in filter in to keep it as cheap as possible
Or
The best option in your car is a fender well intake
You can make your own fwi for not to much money .

Exactly, a hot air intake will do you no good.

He already stated he bought a spectre tube and filter. How long or the shape of the tube, idk but he's on the right track.

Please don't start another argument about this hot air intake

I don't think he's starting an argument, he's just saying that an intake that pulls in air from under the hood will be pulling in hot air.
