Hello,

Does anyone know where the "fuel filter" is located on a 2003 Impala Ls, 3.8L, V6:dunno:, Are there any special tools needed to remove the fuel filter? Thank's:eek:k3:

Drivers side, underneath by rear, in front of rear tire. No special tools required. Maybe some wd-40 or gearwrench lube, crescent wrench, floor jack, and willingness to do so. One side of the filter should have a nut and the other side has a plastic clip with two prongs.

Take fuel cap off and push the flapper in on the fill neck in order to help reduce fuel pressure. Or you could release the pressure with the release valve on the fuel pressure regulator under the hood. None of these are necessary but, it will help prevent getting fuel everywhere.

you dont really have to relieve the fuel pressure. just remove and replace ;)
Exactly what I said. It's not necessary but, makes it cleaner/safer. Skin contact with fuel is not recommended.

No catback exhaust, yet anyways
