I buy the -25 or -30 stuff when I can.
-20 should be fine for most uses. For you, I would drain it and buy some decent fluid (Prestone or some other recognizable brand). I use generic and have no issues, but apparently whatever you are using is inferior. Something else I do once in a while - if we have steady temps below zero, is throw a capful or two of rubbing alcohol in there too - no idea if it works, but just something I do....such a small amount in a full reservoir isnt enough to damage anything it sprays on.
