I just started driving my late dad‘s 2014 2LZ LTZ and hearing crazy wind noise with windows up Passenger side. Looking at the trim it’s bowed away from the glass and I assume the wind noise is from the rubber strip not laying flush against the glass. They driver side appears to be broke and separating from the top down.

I have been using the search function for the last hour and can only find people having paint peeling issues. Mine appear to be broken, the paint looks fine. Has anyone removed these that could give a few hints on the procedure. New moldings about $40 each for front doors plus tax & shipping guessing $100. Hopefully if I r&r them I can get rid of horrendous wind noise for a few years.

Just checked rear doors. They are intact but have cracks chasing up from bottom of appliqué’s.
grrrrrr.

All four have begun to peel (from the top down) on our 2014 Impala 2LTZ - garage kept.

I’d like to replace them, as the rest of the car looks great. I have always maintained the car well, and mostly hand-wash it with no harsh chemicals to damage any of the outside of the car.

The door panels need to come off along with the top inside trim panel. They are bolted on.

Do you also have the instructions for the very first part where it says front side door window belt reveal molding replacement?

Also anything on rear door applique removal?

thats just the window felt on the outside of the door. It just pulls up.

I've got chrome molding on my belt molding is it just built onto the rubber molding? So I just lift it like it says, not a separate piece?

Any instructions for rear applique removal? I'm sure the door panel on back comes off the same way right?

yea, its all one piece. the rear instructions are exactly the same.

Wow thank you so much. I might try and do this myself now. Only thing I worry about is the snap on clips, they always scare me that I'm going to break them lol

btw, i just reread that, i believe the chrome piece is separate from the window felt. you have to have the window completely down to see it. Im waiting for it to get warm before I tackle this, Im just planning this out.
