There are a few hoods out there. VFN makes a bolton fiberglass stock looking hood that is about half the weight of stock saves 25ish lbs. I know there at least were some companies making carbon fiber.
Ramair fiberglass hoods are not often abig weight savings due to the structure to support the openings.
Have heard of guys working on other light panels but never heard of one becoming readily available.
Most of us change the driveshaft and aluminum saves some nice weight but again carbon fiber is an option.
Tubular tranny crossmember is an option too.
smaller diameter torque converters save some nice weight too. Cutting rotating weight is better than static weight.
