I have a 1966 Impala 427. During the back to frame stripping process, we found what looks like a factory installed air shock setup that went from shocks to the gas tank/license door. Has anyone heard of this?

it turns out it is option pkg A66...manual fill air shocks. A67 was auto fill from drivers seat. or something like that

Yea I heard of it before. Guys that wanted to pull trailers or haul heavy stuff in the trunk ordered the air adjustable shocks, or had the dealer install them. The fill from the seat shocks were a pretty neat setup that had a small air compressor under the hood.
