I've had aftermarket HID lamps in for a few months now and have put a capacitor and a relay harness and I want to delete the DRL signal so the lamps aren't always running.

I am not sure it can be done in that model year. They have made it harder and harder as the time goes by to take that away. Even though it isn't Required in USA. Because the cars are made in Canada and Required there. They stay. Not something that makes everyone happy but you could until someone or something comes along to do a Bypass, Turn on your Running light. Then your HID's are off only running light are going. One problem with that.. If you turn off your car and start it again. Even with the Running lights on your DRL will reset and come on again. So you would need to cycle the running light switch to keep them off...

Also looking at the 2014 model year I am not sure that even can happen with the way the Wiring is set up. Almost looks and I can't confirm but almost looks like they have DRL active as part of parking lights. Something to try either way..

Find something that don't set a CEL or MIL let the Forum know for others that are looking at doing the same thing...

Good Luck

Try looking at the harnesses available here. Impala DRL Conversion Harness

My 2LT had standard bulbs till I upgraded to HID's. When I did that I did not want them to be used as DRL's so I purchased the harness and DRL's from gen5. I would imagine that connecting this harness and not using ANY aftermarket DRL would still delete the power going to the headlamp as a DRL. Worst case I would call them and ask about it, the guy (I think his name was Gary) was very knowledgeable and helpful.
