I was flying home from work a few days ago , I look down, red light on dash, engine was MAXED out. Limped it home, filled up with coolant before but still got hat after about 5 mins. I bought me an Acura the next day and left it alone (shhhh). I had just fixed a leak at the thermostat gasket, along with new tstat. I go to fill it up with water today to start diagnosing this and I seem to have found out where my leak is (now?) coming from. The two bigger holes on right of photo. Oil looks fine, engine still sounds great lol. I am in texas where we just finished having that freeze, so I’m guessing the freeze along with my it’s-just-a-beater - I’ll just fill it up when it’s low - mentality caused it shoot out the plugs. are these just average core plugs? What size are they? Can I use a universe type? They are right underneath EGR thing and above the water pump.
