Dude these fools don't know what the hell they're talking about. The cheapest you'll find one and in good condition w/o too many miles is $9,000 anything less than that your better off not buying it b/c it has too many problems. Trust me, I am a car fanatic and the 96 impala SS, (I'm assuming that is what your talking about) is one car I know a lot about. But if your thinking of customizing one. The 96 caprice and the 96 impala SS are exactly the same car. They have the same exact body style and mechanics, there is absolutely no difference between the two other than the impala has a leather interior. You can buy everything you need to make the caprice look like the imapala cosmeticly, like new grill and emblems etc. and switch the interior for a whole lot cheaper. you can buy a caprice for anywhere between $1,000 and $3,000 and it'll be in great condition.
