I got an 06 Impala which has been through 3 batteries in the last 3 1/2 years. Car has an automatic lights where the lights come on when the key is turned. I've awoken up to dead battery on more than three occasions and it's very inconvenient. When set the headlights from automatic to off, and start the car, the battery works fine and the car starts normally. I remember last week I went to the grocery store for 30 minutes, come back and nothing, no radio, no crank, no lights, completely dead! Alternator, starter both are fine. Has anyone had this issue of random parasitic draw?

Sounds like a parasitic draw. I have an 06 Impala too and have only changed the battery once.

I just changed the battery and I'm getting nothing on my multimeter. Battery reads 12.65 volts so it's good but when I switch to Amps and try to check the draw, I get no reading. I'm really confused
