my gas gauge broke so now i dont know how much gas i got in my car. can someone tell me how much gallons of gas a impala can hold?? also can someone tell me how much miles it goes a gallon??? and is there a special way of finding out how much gas is in the car?

my first impala was an 04 base model, and it had a 17 gallon tank, and I would get close to 300 miles to a tank, if I didn't beat it. That had a 3.4L

i have an 04 LS sport and mine has a 17 gallon tank it in as well. i can get pretty close to around 300 miles depending on where i drive to, highway or city... i also have the 3.8 litre engine in mine. your best bet would be to just get it fixed... you dont want to end up stranded on the side of the road because you are not sure how much gas is in your tank and you run out.
