A lot of people just avoid general maintainance on their vehicles. It's a real shame because fixing issues as they pop up saves so much time in the long run. Once 10 problems are present it's so overwhelming for many people.

Once you get everything sorted out and keep the car I believe your general maintainance will slow down considerably.

No state inspections here unless it's in a major accident.(i.e if title is changed and then repaired. )

Just emissions testing heavily enforced.(some areas have exemptions) every year or every other year.(depending on certain factors and location)
I think if they had state inspections people would be more on top of the general maintenance.

2nd that! But then, alot of impala owners would be replacing cat's
