Cause they got programmed in. Swipe down on the stations to make it 1 row again. You can also go into settings and tell it how many favorites to show.
Reprogram the other buttons if you don't want duplicates.

Had a similar problem with my 2014 Impala 2LTZ, purchased new and while still under the basic warranty.

The radio station presets would disappear and sometimes show multiple lines (like your picture).

I read and re read the manuals. No instructions about how to correct it.

I took it to the selling dealer and a young, female service advisor told me I had to simple “swipe” to make the presets appear and disappear.

I asked her to show me and told her that that information was not in my manual. I got the typical 20-something eye roll while she got in the car and tried to show me how to do it.

It took her 10-15 minutes of swiping, turning the radio on and off, starting the car, turning it off, etc. Eventually, she was able to make one radio present bar appear. She explained that normally it was very easy and she didn’t know why she was having so many problems with my radio. I just smiled.....

My only suggestion is to swipe the stations down, and if all disappear, swipe up to make one line appear. Have patience.

My vehicle had to have several computer system updates done while under warranty, including the radio. At one point, a “full system” update was done, which took more than an hour. Since that time, I have not had problem with the radio display.

I’m not sure what year your vehicle is, but have all system updates been performed? There was a BUNCH of updates for MANY problems on the 2014 models.

Good luck.

From the look of his screen I do not think he has a 2014. Looks like a 15 or newer to me since the text icon is on the screen.

After looking through his posts I see he has a 2016
