Hello all you answerers! Can anyone descibe to me some tips on how to put the ignition cap and rotor on a 1994 Chevy Caprice with the 350 5.7 liter engine? It has the ignition cap shaped like a "V" that sits behind the crank pulley. Thank You!!!

it's not hard to change the opti spark,,,it's just that the bolt's take a special little socket called an etorx,,,if u got that, unplug the wiring connecter,,,,then unplug the spark plug wires, undo the etorx bolts, and the cap comes off,,,if u take out the optispark,,,,its easy to put back in,its d riven off a splined, shaft and will only go on one way,,,so theres retiming to be done,,,,

Depending on your level of mechanic experiance. If you have installed distributors, water pumps, head swaps and valve lash settings,, things like this. You should be able to do it. Like others have said,,, it's no 5 min cap\rotor change.
The Optispark Distributor is behind the water pump,,, heck just changing the water pump the correct way on the LT1 is tricky.
Here is a few pics just to give you an idea. You need to look at the 4th,5th and 6th pics.
Good Luck
