I was thinking the diesel route was the way to go. From everything i have been reading indicates that diesel is going to become more and more scarce as time goes on due to extreamly high demand worldwide. Compressed natural gas (CNG) is looking like the way to go for now. Seems like it would not be hard to implement on existing gas platforms. Also possible to refuel from home for under $1 a gallon. Just need to loose a lot of trunk space and plan a route based on CNG availability for long distances.
I am trying to read more about it.
