to time gone to start the car and it will not turn over, it seems that I have to lock the doors using the keyless transmitter and wait about 10 minutes for it to reset. and when I unlock it with the transmitter, the security screen flashes 3 times on the display monitor. is the security system faulty, or is it being triggered by kids bumping the car?or is it doing that because I forgot to lock the car.....any clues?

It's a problem with the PassLock security system that is built in to the ignition cylinder. Generally, this problem occurs if your key has a significant amount of wear... The PassLock sensor will not register your key correctly and the vehicle will fail to start. You can get a brand new key cut from your VIN at the dealership. That is the first thing I would try. If a new key doesn't do the trick then you will need to have the ignition cylinder replaced.
