Hi, I recently signed up for the forum as I am helping my son restoring his 1968 Impala Sport Sedan 4-door. Unfortunately, body parts for the 4-door are difficult to find.
Since we live in Austria (Europe) it is all the more difficult.
The car is in very poor condition and my son was fooled into buying it.
But since he still wants to do the work on the car,
I will support him as much as possible.
I am therefore looking for
1) matching quarter panels left and right
2) the entry area-> left and right? Doglegs?
3) a cowl panel
4) Trunk floor
5) floor panels
6) the inner wheel arches
Can someone tell me whether the parts from other years of construction fit?
I have attached a few pictures of the miserable areas.
We have already revised, painted and given rust protection on the frame.
Thanks in advance!
Jonny

Some of the parts will be available new-reproduced, but most of them will need to be good used. The best place for used parts in the US is in the state of Arizona and the most popular yard there would be Desert Valley Auto Parts. Keep in mind, shipping will be expensive.

I am parting out 5 '68's but do not have any good sheet metal left.

Good luck with your search and keep us posted on it.

My first impression.
Get him his money back.
Do that.
Send the pictures to Judge Judy or Inspector Callahan.

Thanks for the tips, I'll try Desert Valley Auto parts.

Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to get the money back.
My son bought the Impala 6 years ago without my knowledge and set it up in a friend's garage.
He probably thought I disagreed with the purchase.
At that time the car certainly looked better, except for the accident damage.
But since he loves the car, I must help him.

Can someone tell me whether parts from other years of construction fit the 1968?

Thank´s !
If necessary, I would take the 2-door version for the quarter panels and cut it to size. Can you tell me which manufacturer has the better quality and fit? Quarter panel, Floor pans, Trunk floor pans .. Goodmark, Sherman or OER?

Not sure, they all sound good to me, but maybe someone else will jump in. Better yet, switch over to Impala.net. We are more older Impala's there, where this site is more for the newer ones:
