I has to be programmed to your vehicle's VIN..

It has to be programmed... you need to leave your stock bcm in and go to the bcm page on your tech2 and copy your current settings or vehicle vin and then install the new one and copy the saved data over... the tech2 SHOULD retain the original bcm's data to convert over. Its been a while since I did a bcm but that's the procedure for a pcm.

I have a question about the BCM:
does any BCM (year 2000-2005) can be reprogrammed? or has to be a new one?
Can I buy one from the junkyard and reprogrammed? has to be the same year or serial number? same engine? same year?
