Anyone got a dog guard fitted to a Chevrolet Lacetti Station Wagon?

Bought the above car one year ago and although it is fitted with a nylon guard which is obviously flexible our dogs can get through when left unattended.
Thinking about getting a dog guard fitted but don't know the impact on the passenger seats in the back.
If a dog guard is fitted will I still be able to put the seats down without the dogs getting in other areas of the car?
Any info would be apprciated,
