I'm going to be replacing my steering wheel on my car this Monday. I have fully disarmed the airbag (as the airbag in my current wheel is malfunctioning as it is).

At Autozone they have a grant wheel I like, and the GM kit. Only thing, the kit seems to assume that the hub will be essentially be sticking out of the column, but it looks like, that after the clockspring is removed on my column, the hub would be flush with the column, making it impossible to put on the post cover.

How would I go about this? Is there another adapter I need?

The kit I used is the regular GM kit auto zone has. I used a washer as a spacer though.
