Do the NOS

I put a wet/dry NOS kit on my Impala two years ago. Installed it as a dry setup as I didn't want to mess with the stock fuel delivery system. Also installed a water/methanol injection. The NOS jets are tuned for a mild hp increase. When the NOS and Methanol are kicked on though, it makes you smile.

Rarely use it though since I had to replace the tranny $$$$. I envision parts spraying out from under the car if I hit the button.:bang:

I'm used to old school cars like my 65' GTO or 80' Malibu Coupe. Parts are plenty and inexpensive, and easy to modify. New heads? No sweat. New cam? No problem. Higher compression pistons? Lots of work, but no EPA issues. NOS? Set it to max with confidence your drive train won't turn into scrap parts.:eek:k3:

The new computer controlled, EPA regulated, must pass government enforced state inspection ponsey scheme cars are a pain in the rear. Performance parts cost through the nose.

It's the governments way of trying to get all of the po' boy home built hot rods off the street. Why, you can't have a car that is faster and more agile than the police slug Crown Vics, don't you know that?:yikes: 'You vill sit down and you vill shut en zee up!' Sell that muscle car! Buy an electric hybrid! I don't think so.

LOL!:giggle:

Doug thorley makes headers for our cars and turbokits.com sells a entire turbo kit. But other than that. Not much to do.

IIRC the only difference between the LSx and the LS4 (5.3 in the Imp) is the crank is 13mm shorter and the accy's are moved, so any heads/valvetrain SHOULD work from a LSx engine
I was just thinking about something...what about the opposite?? If you put the LS4's crank, in say.....an LS7, does that mean, it will more or less be a direct swap? Nevermind things like uncontrolable torque steer and tranny killing power...I'm saying purely for the sake of theoretical possibilities, I mean, IIRC, the LS engines as far as external physical dimensions, are all the same size, it's just a difference of internal bore, stroke, and accessories placement, that makes them different, just the LS4 has the shorter crank.....so then can you put that crank in and then swap in any LS engine? Then still use the LS4 accessories? Just curious, that's all...
