Do the NOS
I put a wet/dry NOS kit on my Impala two years ago. Installed it as a dry setup as I didn't want to mess with the stock fuel delivery system. Also installed a water/methanol injection. The NOS jets are tuned for a mild hp increase. When the NOS and Methanol are kicked on though, it makes you smile.
Rarely use it though since I had to replace the tranny $$$$. I envision parts spraying out from under the car if I hit the button.:bang:
I'm used to old school cars like my 65' GTO or 80' Malibu Coupe. Parts are plenty and inexpensive, and easy to modify. New heads? No sweat. New cam? No problem. Higher compression pistons? Lots of work, but no EPA issues. NOS? Set it to max with confidence your drive train won't turn into scrap parts.
k3:
The new computer controlled, EPA regulated, must pass government enforced state inspection ponsey scheme cars are a pain in the rear. Performance parts cost through the nose.
It's the governments way of trying to get all of the po' boy home built hot rods off the street. Why, you can't have a car that is faster and more agile than the police slug Crown Vics, don't you know that?:yikes: 'You vill sit down and you vill shut en zee up!' Sell that muscle car! Buy an electric hybrid! I don't think so.
LOL!
