I installed the Hypertech power programmer III , a year later I changed the rear gears to 3.42 ,then tried to enter that change into the program, the programmer always said code 8 and to restart, it said this over and over 4-5 times, I gave up, and thendiscovered the engine wont start at all. what now?

I also bought Hypertechs power chip for my 91 caprice, Hypertech did not disclose the 85 mph speed limit and they refuse to take it back and they refuse to return my $200. Suprising Busioness ethics... thanks Mike Thomas

Hypertech is a crap product anyway, shown to slow LT1 cars down.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for awhile?

With LT1 pcms if programming is interrupted the RAM is wiped and the PCM no longer able to work with the tuner to reflash some custom tuners can remove the chips and fix this but a junkyard PCM would probably be easier. If the HyperCrap thinks it has flashed a tune it will be locked and not help with the new PCM.
