Moding my grill (pics to come) that requires I run a long screw through the existing grill that inserts into a U clip style fastener on the inside (motor side) of the grill.... I don't have to remove the grill but need to reach my hand / arm in behind to hold fastner... should I come from the top or underneath ?... any way easier... my back is kinnda jacked so I cant stay in weird position too long...

also I think I need to remove the chrome ovelays that come stock. (bought tools for it but not sure how they come off)..

Just to be clear - what year is your car? Is it the new style or old style?

Sorry - can't help with the newer-style Impalas. I have a 2012 and when I put my bolt-over grilles on, I just removed the headlights (super easy) and could reach over behind the grilles to secure them - I don't think it will be that easy on the newer-style Impalas though.

I'm sure someone will comment on how to do it with the newer Impalas soon enough though.

That's ok... at least ya replied.. I'll probably ask the dealers technician if he has opinion.... if not easy to do I may use a super small toggle but I don't where the radiator is with respect to the spacing behind grill... ( hate to drill the flippin radiator or no room to accept toggle) …. Ebay go figure... they sell it to ya but your job to figure out how to install it.....
