I have a 95' Chevy Caprice that has been in storage for the winter. I started the car up every week or so and revved the engine while it was in storage. Now that winter is over I attempted to take the car out for a cruise. The engine started and revved fine, I put it in gear and with the slightest push of the gas the engine would quickly die. I have no clue what it is, I was thinking it was the mass airflow sensor. Please let me know if you if you think you know the problem! Thanks!

Is the check engine light on?

The fuel pump is DEFINITELY NOT IT, it would not even start

Fuel filter is a maybe

Is the car fully warmed up before you try to put it in drive? Let it get warm first and then try

If the check engine light is on, get it looked at with a good scanner, idle air control valve or throttle position sensor, or map sensor not maf sensor(I don't think it even has a MAF)

Are the brakes locked- can you move the car when placed in Nuetral???

Lots to check there- get busy

It's a fuel issue.

Either a bad fuel pump, plugged fuel filter, or just old gas.
