Ok so the turn signal on mom's buick (see other questions) will not turn it's self off. We bought the replacement part, and now we are trying to remove the steering wheel to put it in. We have the steering wheel off, but theres another part thats keeping us from getting to the turn signal. Anyone have this problem and/or have DETAILED instructions/websites to accomplish this? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

after you get the steering wheel ,pull the clockspring(works the horn cc and airbag)try and not turn it.then take a pick and a flat head screwdriver and get the c clip to come up and off shaft it hold the locking plate down and has a thumb size spring under it for tension.remove the locking plate and there is the blinker assembly.Three screws hold the assembly down but you don't really have to undo them.Do unscrew the one phillips screw that the blinker lever conects to the blinker assembly,Its the screw on the left.two plastic L's hold the top part you are replacing.then pull the top part of the blinker assembly stright up.It will be held in by a male plastic extention that slides in to the bottom part of the blinker assembly Two w looking springs you will have to put on your replacement part, from the factory one.Hope this helps. Then reverse every thing back. You really need a Lockplate pusher to compress the plate back down. It's hard to do with your thumbs, but I have did it.
