So, per another thread, I have a 2003 Impala LS 3.8L that has some performance issues. The only other annoying thing about it is the ignition switch doesn't spring back to "on" from the "start" position. You have to start the engine then move it back to "on" manually. Sometimes, can overshoot and end up turning the engine back off. My question is, is this a problem with the switch or the lock cylinder, and how hard is it to get to / how big of a job is it to replace it? I saw a writeup for the 7th gen, but I don't see anything about the 8th. Has anyone done this?
