Hi everyone, i'm looking for a set of 2" drop spindles for my 79 caprice wagon but it seems that no body makes them, I'm wanting to go pretty low with it thats why I want to use spindles because then I can drop it more with springs later on, are there any other models that would fit using all of the 79 caprice parts? (brakes, wheel bearings etc) I'm in new zealand so I really want to make sure what i'm buying is going to fit.
Thanks Jason

I`ve done a little research on this, as the 79 front suspension is quite similar to my 87. I have found that 73-87 chevy pickup drop spindles seem to have all the right measurements to bolt right up to our cars. Providing you have 11 inch brake rotors, and 9 16ths of an inch ball joints it should go on. And the awesome part is they make 3 inch drop spindles for them too.

All though don`t take my word on this just yet, I have yet to physically try to do this. On paper it looks like it will work, but in my experience it`s a different story when it gets installed. I will be attempting to install 73-87 3 inch drop spindles in the future so If you don`t need to do it right away, have some patience, and I will have some concrete evidence for you.

It's a 2yo thread, but IIRC, 2nd Gen Camaro parts bolt right up.

What about 90s Impala/caprice stuff, big aftermarket for them.

It'll all bolt right on too.
1977-1996 B-bodies are basically all the same under the skin.

Thanks, yeah I know its an old thread but I'm still looking to find some spindles but it seems no one can tell me that any particular set will definitely fit and its going to cost me a fair amount to order a set and ship them to New Zealand only to find they don't fit.

It seems finding spindles for any B Body is a bit of a mission.
Cheers

I normally don't do this as I prefer people do their own research.
Spindles are super easy to find, both used and new.
It took less than 2 seconds to Google them.

They make them for both the stock 11" rotors and the larger 12" rotors.
Both Jegs and Summit have superior customer service agents and will ship world wide. If for some reason they won't ship to New Zealand, PM me and I'll make other arrangements for you.
If you opt for the 12" rotor spindles, purchase rotors from a late 80's 1LE Camaro to retain the 5x4.75 bolt pattern.

FYI: ALL 77-96 B-body front suspension parts interchange. Most of the aftermarket companies are ignorant to that fact so they list their parts for only 94-96 Impalas.
