i had to replace the choke on my 67 impala 327 4bbl, i ended up going with a holley 700 cfm carb and elecric choke but it's either a rochester or a quadrajet, i know you mentioned not to do this but maybe get the exact model of your carb, using google you couls perhaps find parts suppliers for it, or try summitracing
