Hey, I've a 67 Impala and i'm wondering what gear ratio I have in the 12 bolt axle. I tried searching, but gave up after no luck. There's Camaro, Chevelle, Nova casting numbers everywhere, but none for my Impala. i believe the ratio letters (first two in the sequence) are EM, but i could be mistaken. Any help? Thanks, Jake

You can get a ballpark number by marking the wheel and driveshaft, spin the wheel one revolution as you count how many times the driveshaft goes around. I.E. wheel goes around once DS goes around 3 1/2 times you are around a 3.55 gear. Wheel goes around once DS about 4, you are close to a 4.10...

thanks for the help if you have an open diff, be sure to double the number for your findings. i got 1.75 the first time around, and on other muscle car forums they said to double it, and got 3.5. thanks for the input,
