I originally started out restoring a coupe. Then I found a great convertible and switched restoration to that. The problem that I have right now is that the convertible had no interior. I thought ... no problem, I have the interior from the coupe. :WTF: Except that the back seat upper frame from the coupe does not fit in the convertible. Need to cut it down or find the right one. Search for the right one has been futile. Has anyone cut one of these coupe seat frames to fit before? Need to lose at least 1" on each side of the upper part of the frame so it fits between the convertible frame.

Hope that someone can help,

Have you tried a nationwide search on Craigslist? Every so often I see someone parting a 65-66 convertible.
I have also heard of cutting a coupe rear seat frame down to fit. Might be OK till you find one.
