RHD 1964 Impala Sedan

Hey,
I wanted to know if anyone had any info on a 64 impala with a pillar (not pillarless).

Im in Australia, the car is rhd.

The numbers match up to being a v8 impala built in Tarrytown.

Any info would be good about car, especially who it was for? why it was built? how many were built?

thanks

And any help with ACCessories code = E5WR?

Not sure what you are trying to find out about your car, but Tarrytown did build many cars for export to Aus and NZ. Alll of these were right hand drive and most were four door cars or wagons. Most that I've seen thru 1964 actually used left over 1961 Pontiac RHD dashes.

There seem to be several guys from down under posting Q's about these cars on the Chevy Talk forums board and from what I've gathered over reading the posts for the last several months is that they are still peryy popular cars today.

Try digging around at the Chevy Talk website and go to the section for 1961 thru 1964 cars. Keep in mind also that many questions, quirks, and general build info are applicable to later year Chevy as well. You may get answers fro the '65-'66 area.

Hope this helps,
Mark Keesee
