I recently swapped a 2006 4t65e tranny with a used 2007 for my 3.5L. Was told it had 112k miles on it and it was in good condition. Replaced all solenoids and channel plate gaskets. Replaced filter from triple edge performance with valvoline synthetic atf.
I have put everything back together and when I went to go test drive it last night it can cycle through the park, neutral, drive etc. Problem is, when I start driving and comes time to shift into 2nd, it will shift into a neutral state and just rev. I dont know if it gets lost and doesnt know what gear to shift to but I can manually shift up to the 3rd gear. Is there something wrong mechanically or is it electrical like in terms of having to reprogram the TCM? Thanks

I know this thread is 4 mths old, but this may help someone else. Do you unplug the battery before doing the swap? Usually that will reset the TCM so when you go for a drive it will relearn the shift points.
