All of my paperwork says I have a 2015 Impala limited.
So, I go and buy an engine air filter and a cabin air filter and proceeded to put the engine air filter in and it didn't fit properly, went back to the store & the guy said I might have a 2016 engine and he gave me another filter and it fit properly.
So, now I need to replace a blend door motor on my HVAC and the 2016 model says the access is through a panel lower right of the steering wheel, while the 2015 says it through the glove box. So, what should I expect? Thank you for any in put. RS

I would look up your VIN number and see what it says. Only reason I could think that it would be backwards to the paperwork is that this car went through an engine swap.

Abe, if you have a '15 Impala "Limited" ("old" body style), the same parts fit the '12/'13 Impalas and '14-'16 Impala "Limited's". Do you have dual air climate control (driver/passenger)? If so, which blend door actuator/motor (bda) is bad/ticking? You have 4 bda's. 3 are the same part# (Dorman#604-108). LH Temp, RH Temp and Recirc. The Mode/Vent bda is different. All but the LH Temp bda are accessible through the glovebox. You have to remove some panels below the steering wheel to access the LH Temp bda. Chevy began producing the "new" body style Impala in 2014 while also continuing the "old" body style for fleet/rental sales with the '14/'15/'16 "Limited's". This still confuses some parts stores with the 2 different Impala models/body styles made for those 3 years.
