Purchased a 2104 Impala with the V6. Love the styling and power of this car. But.. the front suspension is loud, it feels like I can hear every little bump. I replaced the struts and sway bar links and had everything checked out and have been told everything is normal. I just don't buy it. Anybody else noticed this?
Relpaced with Monroe sensa track..(spelling ?)

In my experience, one of the differences between a Buick and a Chevy was the amount of padding under the carpet going up the firewall. Maybe yours needs replacing? Or repositioning? Or augmenting with another layer of padding (from a carpet store)?

Also, there are sound insulating panels at the aft ends of the front fenders, behind the fender liners. Perhaps one of those is out of position, or missing. I think they block a lot of the road noise that otherwise comes into the cabin by going around the firewall.

I have a 2016 Chevrolet Impala LT and been having the same problem. Got the car last year and it drove like a dream. About a month later, started hearing a little popping noise in the front end, but not loud. About a week after that my crash avoidance system when out (like they all eventually do!). Took it to the dealer and told them about the crash avoidance system going out and the front end noise I was hearing. They call me later that day and tell me my battery is bad as well as the sensors for the crash system. Said had not yet been able to duplicate the front end noise as of yet, but was still working on it. Called back an hour later and said they still couldn't duplicate noise. Said ok fix everything else which was covered under warranty. Pick car up extended warranty company covered the whole bill which was $1,200+!!! Awesome. They told me if i continue to hear the noise to bring back to them. The next day viola, noise again. Scheduled another appointment immediately. Take it in they find that struts and mount needed to be replaced. Once again $0 cost to me, get the car back and that noise is gone =, but now I have this creaking/clunking noise on the passenger side that I have had for over a year. Car has been to the dealer at least 10 additional times since the strut replacement and no one can figure out what it is! Been to 4 different dealerships, some hear it and some don't. Front passenger struts has been replaced for a second time, both strut mounts for a second time, lower control arm on passenger side, sway bar links on both sides and the noise still persists. My personal mechanic cant id the noise and he is a great mechanic. I just don't know. So reading here im thinking maybe one on my insulation panels maybe loose. I don't know how they go about changing the systems from the crash avoidance system, may they are in the bumpers and i cant say for sure if the noise came after the crash system was repaired as I was so focus on that noise from the struts. Maybe it could be my panels because they have changed almost everything on the front end and still the noise was there. I even when an bought a front sway bar because you cant just change the sway bar bushing on the front of this vehicle because the bushings come attached to the bar!! Crazy, cost me $160 at the dealer, but when I took it to my mechanic he just wasnt convince that was the problem and he said it would cost me $400 in labor because he had to drop the whole subframe to access it. I declined to proceed. Is there a picture available of the insulation panels location or instructions on how to check. This noise has been the only low point with this car for me. Had the engine vibration issue, but when I cleaned my throttle body it fixed the vibration issue. If anybody has some direction for me that would help alot!

I just took my car in for a popping/clunk... turns out the control arm needs to be replaced. Another user on here had the same issues, I guess it was the ball joint. I was able to replicate it immediately for the dealer. Backed out of a parking spot, cranked it left, then right, tapped on the brake pedal, and heard the pop. Just a thought...

I have a similar issue but both front and back actually. Bought the car with 500 miles in 2016, ‘14 V6 with 19” wheels/P7 pirellis. Started noticing the front end noise and chalked it up to the bigger wheels, it was just pronouncing thumps and well in line with what I thought was normal suspension/road noise.

As of late a more pronounced noise/thump almost suspension bump stop noise is noticeable on either suspension articulation like turning in driveways or jolting bumps like r/r tracks. Think the difference between yours and others I’m reading is that I “feel” it in front and rear center as if there is slop in the cradle. I’ve been under it twice and all is tight and in place, no signs of anything shifting like I’d suspect to see. I don’t have any play at the wheels either.
Am about ready to buy the extended warranty as my certified warranty is about expired. Just need to find time to drop it off

Update...I finally went and drove some other vehicles like mine and they made the front noise as well. I think Chevy just really cheapened out the build quality on this vehicle. A real shame as I love everything else about the car. I ended up selling it and buying a Buick LaCrosse. Crazy thing is the Buick weighs about 1400 lbs more. That tells me alot.
They Impala had more room and more comfortable seats. The Buick is much quieter though.
