Hi, all I hope some one has more info on this issue.
A couple years after we bought our 2014 LTZ, the infotainment screen would go black. The radio would work but the screen would just be black. This happened just outside of warranty of course. The screen would come back on after a few days. This mostly happened in the summer time. We took it into the stealership, and they said that the display needed to replaced and that it would cost over $1000.00. I did not think that was the problem as the screen worked in the winter time. I finally took it in and had them replace the screen. Of course, two weeks after they replaced the screen, it happened again. I took it back to the stealership and they said it was fixed. Luckily they supposedly fixed it under the screen replacement warrant. Well a month after that the screen went blank again. I spent a couple minutes on YouTube and found this fix:
It appears that there is a connector that becomes loose after a period of time and needs to be reseated.
I performed the fix in the YouTube video and that fixed the problem. However, I suspect it won't be long before the connecter comes loose again.
Does anyone have any more info on this issue and maybe have a permanent fix?

Is there any way you can attach a cable tie somehow to keep them securely plugged in?

Or even the good old standby duct tape could work. ;)
