Hey guys, Will from Overkill.

I bought a 2014 stock Impala intake system and have mocked up an open cone setup. Need a tester for it to see how it fits, how it performs, etc.

Would be free to you, and I just need some installed pictures and your feedback in return. Anyone interested?

Not currently, I sent a tester to one person but lost contact with them, so another is off to a 2nd tester. If I had a local 14+ this'd all be done in a day but at least a few people are certainly happy to be getting free parts lol

Yeah, I was wondering this myself. I might just buy the Air Raid diy intake system and do this myself..built the one on my Camaro and this is a pretty simple run down to the air box.

What size tubing are you using, 3"?

After seeing the install picture on the Buick LaCrosse it's seems to be a pretty simple Air Intake. Is so why hasn't all those Air Intake Manufacturers made one yet? By the way, has anyone done any before and after tests?

These are on my website and on my shelves for $169, great bang for the buck.

Why the big manufacturers don't have an intake out yet, I don't know. I care about the Impala platform. Perhaps they do not? :beer:

The 14 Impalas have a larger MAF sensor housing from factory than 12-13s. I upgrade the 12-13s using this MAF housing that i use on the Impalas and tuning is required. On the 14-15s, tuning is NOT required, but some improved performance can be had.

These were test results on the 12-13 with upgrading the MAF to this size:
Stock tune in ft-lbs of torque to the wheels
4000rpm = 218
5000rpm = 216
6000rpm = 204
Overkill 87 tune in ft-lbs of torque
4000rpm = 223 (Gain of 5)
5000rpm = 230 (Gain of 14)
6000rpm = 216 (Gain of 12)
Overkill 87 tune plus ASI Intake with a 3.5" MAF in ft-lbs of torque
4000rpm = 224 (Gain of 6 overall tune/intake, +1 for intake)
5000rpm = 241 (Gain of 25 overall tune/intake, +11 for intake)
6000rpm = 231 (Gain of 27 overall tune/intake, +15 for intake)
