Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and apologize if this was not posted in the correct place.
I purchased my 2009 Impala LT in February of 2020. First Impala owned but MANY Chevys owned.
In July 2020, I had just pulled out of my driveway and my car made a very loud sound and suddenly would not move forward, no matter how hard I tried. Had to get towed to a shop assuming the transmission had failed and I was on the roadway stuck.
Shop checked out my car and told me transmission needed to be rebuilt for $2675, stating the internal differential was imploded. I paid to have the transmission rebuilt 146,000 miles. My car is now at 150,000 miles and tranny is still under warranty.
Monday upon returning home from working, i drove to throw trash in the dumpster behind my home. When I got back in the car to put it in DRIVE, IT WONT MOVE FORWARD. Put it in reverse, drives perfectly fine. Needless to say, I reversed all the way home into my parking space. It seemed as if the brakes were stopping the car from going forward. The only engine code that has recently come up is P0011 -Cam magnet/ VVT over advance...Prior to this occurrence. Please help! Not convinced the transmission is actually the problem yet since it does go into DRIVE, just refuses to move.
