I have a bad rear strut on my 08 impala. It has SSC lowering springs(1.5") 235-35-R20 wheels and tires. Will a stock replacement work with this, can I use SS rear struts or will a set of kyb struts work. Any help or input would be great full. Thanks

You have 20 inch wheels and you lowered your springs? Yikes! Do your tires touch the wheelwells when you hit a speedbump? Struts should be changed in pairs. I just had Monroe Quickstruts installed on my Impala. They definitely handle bumps better than the old stock struts. You might want to get the taller struts, for 18" wheels.

So what if he has 20" rims? The tire diameter is 0.1 inches SHORTER than stock, how is that going to cause problems?
