My 2007 SS ran into an overheating issue while going over a mountain pass the other week. It looks like it starts leaking when the car warms up from somewhere under near the front drivers tire.

I have not lifted it up to look closely yet... thoughts?

Cracked radiator? Bad hose? Something else?

Is it odd it's leaking only when it gets up to temp?

Did the Temp Gauge actually indicate High Temp?
Or, did it do a high-altitude boiling of fresh water coolant?

Seriously, pop the hood and take a look when you have it up to temp. If it's leaking it should be visible. No way for us to tell without looking.

The Talcum Powder Trick

Lightly "DUST" talc or corn starch on the block, heads, hose connections, ... anywhere you suspect a leak might originate when the plant is warmed-up and running at full temperature.
Once the Plant's fully warmed-up; let idle under observation 15-minutes.
Shut 'er down and use a bright flashlight to examine for leaks.
The slightest leaks will be revealed and able to be traced to points of origin by following the trail(s) made in the talc.
Badda-bing; Badda-boom!
