3.5L , LT, 2007 impala

i tried to change the oil today and coudnt find where the filter is
can anyone tell me where it is? how about a pic? can i change it myself or do i need special tools?

I hope it's not too hard to find. I have the same impala you do, but it hasn't been time to change the oil yet.

Try to look for a filter about half the normal size or smaller.

I don't know where the filter is on your car. try on the back side of the engine. And I have noticed that the new car filters about 1/2 or smaller in size than what they use to be. Several were no bigger than what I would call a fuel pump filter.
