I have a 2007 Chevy Impala Ls 3.5 engine 6 cylinder flex and I’m trying to replace my positive battery cable and was wondering if a universal wire is good or it has to be its manufacture? HELP… because I’ve replace my starter and alternator and my car starts but doesn’t run long and on the dash it says “battery saver mode” and my ac is not blowing cold anymore ..

mine does the exact same thing I would check your grounds maybe replace your battery terminal hook ups in the battery but most likely your BCM and your ignition module are usually the two things you want to replace

An OEM wire is going to fit better and is capable of handling the necessary amount of current. A 3rd party cable can be an acceptable battery cable. You need to ensure the cable can handle the necessary amperage and is of sufficient length for your Impala.

Were you having issues before you replaced the starter and alternator? Or the issues only showed up after their replacement?
