Just picked up a used 2004 Impala LS that looks great @ 64k miles.
It appears to have new oil, tires, and is clean all around.

Question - looking in the user manual at the serivce/maint schedule,
what main things should we be considering based upon the age & mileage ?

Would not hurt to have the transmission filter and fluid changed. Check the condition of the belts and airfilters, including the cabin filter. Have the brake pads looked at for wear and condition. Might consider new hoses for radiator and heater also. If unsure about fuel filter it is best to have it changed. And do not forget the PCV Valve, it is often overlooked and when it goes bad it will cause the engine to leak oil.
