My brother is asking me some transmission questions and since it is 8degrees outside and I want to wait till it hits a balmy 12f before I go shovel I figured I could research it a bit.
He has a 2004 Envoy, has access to a 2005 Envoy XL he can pull the tranny from.
Interchange manuals suggest it will not work, BUT I did google up some forum comments that it is just a selector harness, and some transmission reman vendors are listing them like 99-05 application which would support the idea it is some simple exterior parts swapping.
What do you folks know so I don't have to go sign up on another forum to ask.
If I were there I would have an easier time figuring it out but my brother is still in the area of NJ I grew up in 900 miles from here.
